Baton Rouge's water is definitely soft (hence the trouble with shampoo) however, it is by far the best tasting tap water around!

It should taste good...it sure leaves you slimy in the shower. Does everyone who lives there look like the Seinfeld episode where no one could get the shampoo out of their hair after low-flow shower heads were installed? I have to buy gallons of water to rinse with every time I visit. UGH. You can have it.

Hello. My husband and I are trying to purchase a home in Livingston Parish (Denham Springs). DHI Mortgage is currently trying to help us get the home loan for it. They did not mention anything about the bond program until I asked about it. This home will be our 1st home. Can you provide me more information about the program or point me int he riht direction?

My understanding is the first responder bond details will be released next week when they release the info on the regular Louisiana State Bond Program. I will email you and post on the blog as soon as I get the information.
